family connections for William (Aspinall) are: ASPINALL William (Aspinall) was born about 1752 probably in Blackburn Lancashire & became a weaver. He was tried at Lancaster Assizes Lancashire, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1790 after a voyage of 7months on Fleet ships NEPTUNE SCARBOROUGH or SURPTISE. She apparantly had a second (2of3) relationship with Jane (Christie her second (2of3) relationship). He died in 1820 age about68 at South Creek & was buried at St Matthews CofE Windsor. [Some details taken from this Website] Jane (Christie/Christy) was born about 1747. She was tried for stealing linen at Antrim co. Ireland in March 1790, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 7 8 1793 after a voyage of 6months on BODDINGTONS. She had a relationship, perhaps her first, with John (Summers) & produced a child. She may have married thirdly Robert (Hesketh) of Sydney on 1 3 1821 at St Matthews CofE Windsor & produced a child. She is recorded in 1825 as wife of Thomas (Hosketh her second? relationship) at Windsor. She died on 1 7 1827 age about80 (Smees records show age87) as emancipist mother of maybe 2children & was buried, as (Hesketh) at St Matthews CofE Windsor. [Some details taken from this Website] The confusion here arises from proper identification of Jane (Christie)s arrival & because Smees record for Jane (Christie)s death shows her as named Jane (Hesketh) wife of Robert & as arrived on BODDINGTONS 1793. Also difficulty in identification of RobertThomas (Hesketh) Reference: Craig James Smee 'Births and Baptisms Marriages and Defacto Relationships Deaths and Burials New South Wales 1788-1830' ..a complete listing from church & other records in the early colony.
