Yorkshire Lent Assizes. John Atkinson (30) for stealing a brown horse, the property of W Rawson Esq ; Yorkshire Gazette, 18 March 1826. Mr Baron Hullock, before he left York, was pleased to reprieve one of the three men who were under sentence of death,—namely, John Atkinson, for horse-stealing. Peter Little, for highway robbery, and John Lee alias Lees, who received sentence of death along with Atkinson, for a similar crime, are left for execution.— Leeds Intelligencer  ...
