Rachel was convicted of attempting to murder her daughter Rebecca Atkinson (aged one month). She was sentanced to death, later commuted to 7 years transportation (her daughter Rebecca came with her to Australia). Interestingly, her daughter died in 1828 (aged approximately 2 years) in Australia. Rebecca married another convict Henry Jackson on 19 November 1838. They went on to have 14 children, including one set of triplets and two sets of twins.
