The Lady Castlereagh arrived at Port Jackson (Sydney) and landed 39 male convicts then continued onto VDL 11/6/1818 landing 261 male convicts. John and (brother??) James Attwood were disembarked in Sydney. 14/7/1817 Hampshire Chronicle Hampshire, England: The following prisoners stand committed for trial at the ensuing Assizes for Hampshire :James Attwood and John Attwood, for breaking and entering the dwelling-house of Wm. Morgan, at Millbrook, and stealing therefrom seven cotton gown pieces, and variety of other articles, his property. Colonial Secretary papers: ATTWOOD, John. Memorial on behalf of John Reynolds (Fiche 3118; 4/1840B No.17 p.111) 1822: Married Mary Bull (free - the daughter of James Bull who arrived on the Minerva 1800 with wife Ann and their two eldest daughters, one was born on the voyage. James was a private in the NSW Corps). John and Mary had 2 children: Jane Attwood 1822-1860 and Mary Ann Attwood 1824-?? 1828: John Attwood died, aged 32, and was buried on 14/9/1828 at St. Luke's, Liverpool. Mary then married Amos Crisp (Ocean 1816) in 1830 and died in 1831 aged 31.
