Note: Record of approvals in 1835 has been indexed as 1836. 1835, 27 July: A second application for permission to marry was granted to Mathew [sic] Attwood (40, free, “Asia”) and Mary Mahoney [Mahony] (28, bonded, “Surry 6”); it was also lodged with clergyman Richard Hill, Sydney (see NSW Registers of Convicts' Applications to Marry, 1826-1851, Granted 1835). 1835, 18 August: Marriage, in Parish of St John’s, Parramatta – Matthew Attwood to Mary Haney/Marney [Mahony], registered Parramatta (see Australia, Marriage Index, 1788-1950, Vol V; Registration District: CB, number 427/1835 V1835427 150. Hancock's, Parramatta-street, Sydney." Note: Although the husband's first name is incorrect, the description of his wife appears to fit Mary Mahony, the wife of Michael Attwood.
