John East and John Austin, for robbing Samuel Sanvum, of Cockfield, on the highway, and cruelly treating him ; Bury and Norwich Post, 5 April 1820. Saturday, eleven male convicts were removed from Bury Gaol, lie put on board the hulks at Portsmouth, viz. John Austin, John East, Isaac Wordley, and Jas. King, to be transported for life; John Bennett and John Flack, for years; and Joseph Bumpsted, George Gladwin, George Cross, Thomas Sturgeon, and Thomas Smith, for 7 years.
