Old Bailey: FREONUXQ BADOSKI, Deception > forgery, Deception > 3rd January 1853. Verdicts: Guilty > pleaded guilty Punishments: No Punishment > sentence respited. FREONUXQ BADOSKI , feloniously uttering a forged 5l. Bank of England note; also 1 other forged 5l. Bank of England note; also, 1 other forged 5l. Bank of England note, with intent to defraud: to both of which be pleaded GUILTY. Aged 26.— Judgment respited. Aliases: Francis Badoskie / Ludwik Konazewski / Winder / Campbell / Frienberg (Francis) Badoski. Francis was a 'Diamond-cutter', single, 5' 5" tall, light brown hair, blue eyes, sallow complexion, stout build, literate, had been a soldier. This is from a letter Francis Badoskie/Ludwik Konarzewski sent to his uncle: 25 January 1855, Convict Establishment, Fremantle. Francis Badoskie/Ludwik Konarzewski to Sir Konarzewski, Berlin, Prussia. ‘be sure not to tell him (my Uncle) that I have been transported’. 29 January 1855, Swan River, to ‘Dear Uncle’, Kujawy, Poland. ‘I am in fair health but very poor in pocket’. Asks for money “100 Frederic Gold”. 8/12/1857: TOL 3/10/1859: COF. 1861: Married Margaret Campbell - they had 1 child, John Winder (Winder was one of the many aliases used by Francis) born 1861 and died 5/7/1862. Francis worked as a jeweller but on 2/10/1861 convicted again of forgery, sentenced to 3 years in prison & served the full term. Worked in Champion Bay as a labourer and coal burner. 1864: His second term ended and he was fully released. Left for Batavia.
