Quarter Session. 10th January. John Baggott, stealing a sheep from the flock of Mr. Gordon—suspicion falling on the prisoner, Mr. Carrie, a farmer of Pittwater, went to Baggott's house, after some questions— Baggott's wife said he had better tell the truth— he said he would tell the truth and defy the devil ; he had mutton in the house, which he received from Mr Gordon's Shepherd, as payment. For labor—Mr. Gordon's Shepherd had given no mutton. The Jury returned a verdict of Guilty. Seven years. Morning Star, 13 Jan 1835.

Tasmanian Conduct Record. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-1$init=CON31-1-1p120 85, John Baggot. A lot of information on his record. Many punishments recorded. Free by servitude, but then convicted and sentenced to 7 years transportation. Q.S. 10 Jan 1835, 7 years. Spent 2 years at Port Arthur.
