Tasmanian Conduct Record. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-1$init=CON31-1-1p119 84, Josh. Baggot. Several punishments recorded. The edge of the record is damaged, but the following is visible: C. ife 1821. This probably refers to the following case, reported in the newspaper: Court of Criminal Jurisdiction. Joseph Bagot and Israel Allen were arraigned on a capital charge of breaking and entering, in the daytime, the dwelling-house of George Steele, on the 1st Feb. last, and stealing various articles therein, to the value of £15 and upwards. - Allen pleaded Guilty; and Bagot was found so on the most unequivocal evidence. - The Court, in humane consideration, adjudged the prisoners to be transported to Newcastle for the respective terms of their natural lives.
