Elisha died in Chicago, America, in 1873 (Mercury, 6 Sept. 1873 p2c3.) He is described as a 'builder' in many newspaper ads, e.g. Colonial Times, 23 Dec, 1834 p3c2. Anyone researching him should also note that his surname is spelled variously as Bayley and Bailey.
