(note: There are numerous convicts named Charles Baker, so further research needed to see what happened to this Charles.) (note: This is a child, Edward BAKER, admitted to the Queens Orphanage, New Town on 27 Aug 1838 whose mother is recorded as Martha BAKER per 'America' but no father's details are on index. ref. is CS05/191/4635 pg175 & SWD28) Martha's convict record states she had one child. On the record of Martha BAKER she states she was married to Charles BAKER who was transported on the 'Clyde', however his record states single and several years younger. They are however both from Bath. (Research would be needed, in England, to verify). https://convictrecords.com.au/convicts/edit/111025
