Reference Number: t18360404-1124 Offence: Theft > simple larceny Verdict: Guilty > no_subcategory Punishment: Transportation DAVID BAKER was indicted for stealing, on the 26th March, 3 shillings and 4 sixpences, the monies of William Mortlock. GUILTY . Aged 29.— Transported for seven Years. David’s occupation was a ‘Cabman’ and was transported after an altercation about the fare for Mrs Mortlock. Daily sick book of the Prince George: David Baker; aged 30; prisoner, disease or hurt, diarrhoea. Put on sick list, 12 February 1837. Discharged 14 February 1837 well. David Baker; aged 30; prisoner, disease or hurt, pain in the eyes. Put on sick list, 21 March 1837. Discharged 27 March 1837 well. David Baker; aged 30; prisoner, disease or hurt, scorbutus. Put on sick list, 30 March 1837. Discharged 17 April 1837 well. 27/11/1843: COF 26/12/1851: David died at Goulburn.
