1871: “In the Supreme Court of New South Wales. ECCLESIASTICAL JURISDICTION. In the goods of Timothy Hanley, late of Mudgee, in the Colony aforesaid, labourer, deceased. NOTICE is hereby given, that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication of this notice, application will be made to this Honorable Court, in its Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, that letters of administration of the goods, chattels, credits, and effects of the abovenamed Timothy Hanley, deceased, may be granted to Elizabeth Hanley, of Mudgee aforesaid, the widow of the said deceased. — Dated this 31st day of January, a.d. 1871. GEORGE DAVIDSON, Proctor for the Applicant, Mudgee. By Charles Davis, his Agent, Bell's Chambers, 175 Pitt-street, Sydney.” (see NSW Government Gazette, 3 Feb 1871 [Issue No.31], p295) Date of death - to be confirmed that the following notices refer to Elizabeth Baker Hanley: 1884, 28 July: “HANLEY.—July 27, at Sydney, Elizabeth Hanley (better known as Hyde Park Steps Granny), aged 83 years. Gone home to rest. 'Blessed are the dead that die In the Lord. Precious in His sight Is the death of His saints.'” (see Sydney Morning Herald, Deaths, p1) 1884, 28 July: “THE FUNERAL of the late Mrs. ELIZABETH HANLEY will leave her late residence, 55 Yurong street, Woolloomooloo, tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, at quarter to 9 o'clock, to Waverley Cemetery. CHARLES KINSELA, Undertaker, 116, Oxford street near Crown-street.” (see Sydney Morning Herald, p12)

1832, December: On a list of prisoners on the Diana suffering from catarrh, she is the 11th case on the list for December, according to the ship’s surgeon – Elizabeth Baker, 19 (see UK, Royal Navy Medical Journals, 1817-1856). 1841, 3 August: On a list of convicts who were granted Tickets of Leave – Elizabeth Baker per Diana, Illawarra (see The Sydney Herald, 3 Aug 1841, p4). 1844, 29 May: “Tickets or Leave Cancelled. – The following prisoners of the Crown have had their Tickets-of-leave cancelled for the offences stated against their respective names: – Elizabeth Baker, per Diana, for drunkenness and disorderly conduct; Parramatta Bench” (see Sydney Morning Herald, 29 May 1844, p2). 1847, 7 July: Thady Hanley, 45, per Dorothy, life, ToL, is granted permission at Windsor to marry Elizabeth Baker, 36, per Diana 1833, life, ToL (see NSW Registers of Convicts' Applications to Marry, 1826-1851, Granted 1847).
