Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 23 Apr 1821 Sentenced as follows: Death, Thomas Bayley, ….Henry Baker and Thomas Allen, convicted of stealing 3 lambs belonging to James Mills, at Orcheston St Mary; and also convicted of breaking into and robbing the house of Wm. Gilbert of the same place. …. The first of the above prisoners (Thomas Bayley) was left for execution; the others reprieved.
