Robbery.— On Christmas morning, about three o’clock, an old barn in the occupation of Mr. W. Bridges, Elmswell, was broken into. W. Wright, active constable of that parish, watch, observed a man enter the barn, from which took about a coomb of undressed oats, and having followed him few rods from the barn, Wright then took him into custody with the oats upon his back. The prisoner, although powerful man, made no resistance, but said, You have got me neat enough now.” Suffolk Chronicle, 4 Jan 1845.
