Richard Baker was 19 years old on arrival in NSW. 28/9/1817: Sent to Hobart per Elizabeth Henrietta. Richard was 5'5" tall, grey eyes, black hair. 1830-33: TOL Holder. 17/9/1827: Married Louisa Chapman Peckham (B1807 nsw and died 9/12/1891 Perth, Tasmania). They had 4 children. 14/5/1834: Richard died at Launceston.




Was originally sentenced to death with his older brother but was given clemency because of his age (19). Unfortunately his brother William was unlucky and was hung on 30 March 1815. Richard was sentenced to Life, transportation.
