24/3/1800 Sussex Advertiser East Sussex, England: ASSIZES James Edwards, Thomas Baker, and John Stubbington, for burglaries. All were onboard the Earl Cornwallis. Per "Earl Cornwallis", 1801 1800 Oct 13: On list of convicts on board the "Earl Cornwallis" (Reel 6028; 2/8283 p.29) 1810: Petition for mitigation of sentence (Fiche 3163; 4/1846 p.8) 1820 Jun 28: Of Richmond. Memorial (Fiche 3013; 4/1823 No.27) 1823 Sep 15: Affidavit re loss of certificate of freedom (Reel 6028; 4/1690 p.60) 1812: TOL 19/12/1825 Sydney Gazette: EIGHT DOLLARD REWARD. WHEREAS the two Persons hereinafter-named, escaped out of Windsor Gaol on Tuesday, the 6th December, 1825; viz. THOMAS BAKER, commonly called Black Baker, about 5 feet 6 inches high, very dark complexion, and came here in the ship Cornwallis. WILLIAM BRENNAN, ship Earl St. Vincent, free by servitude, rather forbidding countenance, stout made, and about 5 feet 7 inches high. The above Persons are both charged with Pig-stealing, and were in Gaol for Trial at the ensuing Quarter Sessions of the Peace for Windsor; and a Reward of Four Dollars will be paid, on each or either of them being lodged in safe Custody, on the Person who may apprehend applying to me, By Order of the Magistrate of Police, JOHN HOWE. Chief Constable. __ Transported to Port Macquarie per 'Mary Elizabeth' - 3 years. 16/3/1831: Permission to marry Mary Fitzgerald, (Lady Rowena) Age - 42; Sentence - 7 yrs; Condition - Bond.
