From Hobart Town, William Baker, per Mount Stuart Elphinstone, F.S., for larceny, sentenced to 3 months, native of England, 76 yrs, 5 feet 9 inches high, a labourer, resident of Hobart Town. Tasmania Police Gazette, 29th Mar 1872, p55. Prisoner discharged from HM Gaols & Houses of Correction, Hobart & Launceston, during the week ending 222 & 26 June 1872. William Baker, per Mount Stuart Elphinstone 1, tried at Hobart, on 22 Mar 1872 for larceny, served 3 months, native Northamptonshire, 78 yrs old, 5 feet 7 inches high, greyish hair, F.S., scar on right side of forehead.
