William was single and could read and write. On arrival he was sent to Goat Island, to be worked in irons.




William Baker was 26 years old and was transported for "Robbery at a Brewery", and his occupation was a "Waggoner". 28/12/1834: Medical Journal of the Bengal Merchant: William suffered from scurvy. William was 5'3" tall, dark sallow complexion, grey hair, chestnut eyes, scar on right eyebrow, lost part of front upper tooth, scar on ball of left thumb. 1841: TOL Goulburn 9/12/1842: Absconded from Francis Forbes, since August. 1843: TOL Muswellbrook 16/6/1843: TOL Cancelled for misdemeanour.
