1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

Jeremiah Balance was indicted for horse stealing. Thomas Dobbin stated —That he lived in the county Antrim; found the horse and prisoner in custody at Castleblayney. Wm. Hamilton, Esq. a Magistrate stated—From informations he had received he found the prisoner in Castleblayney riding on the horse ; on being questioned where he got him, he prevaricated ; but ultimately confessed he had taken him from the prosecutor to take a ride.—Guilty--death recorded.
