Henry formed a liaison with Elizabeth Carpenter around 1803. Elizabeth had come free to the colony with her husband Israel Rayner and daughter Jemima in 1801. Then Elizabeth appears to have left Israel and gone off with Henry. The relationship was a long term one. They appear to have had 13 children to about 1820. # No Records to the family seem to appear in the 1828 census, so they may have used a different surname.
