James Baldwin was tried for stealing at leather duot from the stable of William Piltcedl of Woodbridge, and acquitted.  He was then tried on a charge of having stolen, on the 12th of December last, two dutfi cc otir(-, a collar, and a pair of thillbells, the property of Mr. Plenvy Nursey, of Little Bealings. Verdict-Guilty. It appears that Baldwin is an old offender-, having been once condemned for felony. He was now sentenced to 7 years transportation.  Ipswich Journal, 13 Jan 1821....  At Woodbridge Sessions, on Wednesday, Jas. Baldwin, for stealing two dutfins, a collar, and a pair of thillbells, the property of Mr. P. Nursey, of Little Bealings, was sentenced for 7 years. Bury and Norwich Post, 17 Jan 1821. Saturday sennight the following convicts, under sentence of transportation, were removed from the County Gaol, Ipswich, and put onboard the Leviathan Hulk, at Portsmouth: — John Lovett, John Freeman, and John Butcher, for life; and James Baldwin, Benj. Nunn, Charles Thorpe, John Edgin, Thomas Germany, and John Palmer, for 7 years Bury and Norwich Post, 30 May 1821.
