Baptized 1 Aug 1813 Uxbridge St Margarets to James and Charlotte Ball; tried 10 March 1845 with Samuel Townsend (also Mayda), second offence - first being 1 Jan 1844 for larceny but acquitted); sailed to Norfolk Is. on Mayda and then to VDL 20 May 1847; TOL April 1850; Certiicate of Freddom Launceston 15 March 1855. married Catherine (Kitty) King (convict/Australasia) 23 Feb 1852. Died Launceston 19 Dec 1867
