TRIAL: 5 August, 1843: William Ball (28) was tried at the Stafford Assizes with Charles Ball (19) for robbery and wounding. William Ball was convicted and sentenced to death, commuted to transportation for life. No bill against Charles Ball (England & Wales, Criminal Registers, 1791-1892). --0--
