Convict Notes
Henry Bandy was also known as William Henry Bandy. Henry was born C1831 and was baptised on 7/4/1833 at Studham. Son of George Bandy and Sarah Plummer. 9/1/1845: Charged with Arson - 6 mths hard labour and twice whipped. 15/3/1845: Found guilty of Arson of a Coppice - 6 mths hard labour and twice whipped. 21/12/1848: Damaging a lock - 1 mth, hard labour. 16/7/1850: Offence: On the 14th March at Luton breaking and entering the dwelling house of James Addison Taylor and stealing 4 Bladders of Lard and one leg of Mutton his property. Committed By: Rev.Miles Bland DD and Lionel Ames Esq. - 10 years transportation. Henry was then 19 years old, 5'4" tall, brown hair, hazel eyes, pale complexion, sing, can read, faint mark of 8 in Indian ink on the left hand and a larger scar on the right hand. Sent to Millbank Prison and then to the 'Sea Park' to Western Australia on 20/12/1853. 5/4/1854: TOL 24/12/1855: CP. 1872: Henry Bandy died, aged 44 - WA BDM.
