John Barker was 17 years old on arrival - he was transported for 'stealing a pistol'. John could read, was Methodist, single, 5'5¾" tall, ruddy complexion, brown hair and eyes, anchor and cross inside, J x B JESUS x WEPT back of lower right arm, ring on middle finger of righ hand, John Browne, 1837, age back of lower left arm, blue dot inside same, and three back of left hand. Native Place: Kinning Hall, County Norfolk. 25/3/1845: Convict Death Register - John Barker died aged 23, District/Parish: Sydney Hospital. Attached to Victoria E Stockade.
