Thomas arrived in Sydney 1829 on the ship "Sarah" Thomas Barker was convict, as their marriage request was lodged on 25 Nov 1839 when Thomas was 31 and Azuba 17. Originally from Essex he arrived on board the Sarah on 7 Dec 1829, after being convicted of poaching and sentenced to 14 years transportation to New South Wales for the offence. Single, and with brown hair, grey eyes and a sallow complexion he was sent to work for George Bowman at Information supplied by Adam Davis. DESCENDANTS: Children of Thomas and Azuba BARKER Ann, Charlotte, Francis (Fanny), Sophia. Grandchildren: Charles Henry BELL, Walter WRIGHT Great Grandchildren: Bert WRIGHT and more generations living.
