BARNABY SHORT, Theft > grand larceny, 19th February 1817. 464. BARNABY SHORT was indicted for stealing, on the 4th of February , one coat, value 16s., the property of Isaac Woodhouse , and one table cloth, value 5s. , the property of James Ricketts . ISSAC WOODHOUSE. I am servant to Mr. Ricketts, who lives at Hertford. On the 4th of January, my cart was in Wentworth-street . My coat was in the cart, and a table cloth of my master's was in the pocket. I lost it between seven and eight o'clock in the morning. RICHARD WALLY . I am an officer. I saw the prisoner take the coat out of the cart; I secured him. I am sure he is the man. (Property produced and sworn to.) GUILTY . Aged 21. Transported for Seven Years .
