Charlotte Barnes and Elizabeth Butter, the former convicted of house-breaking and the latter of stealing promissory note for two pounds, were sentenced to transported for seven years. Salisbury Journal, 21 March 1808. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Assizes. At Dorchester, James Hine, for stealing a pony; and Ann Moorehead, for stealing a watch from a soldier; received sentence of death. Charlotte Barnes, for stealing nuts, &c. to be transported for seven years. Hampshire Chronicle, 28 Mar 1808.
