Family connections for Martha (Barnett) are: BARNETT Martha (Barnett) was born about 1761. She arrived in NSW as a convict on 8 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship MARY ANN. She married firstly John (Radford) on 4 12 1791 at St Johns CofE Parramatta.>>> Martha (Barnett) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-addedd by me; although a namesake is found on the Fleet NEPTUNE SCARBOROUGH SURPRISE 1790.>>> John (Red/adford) was born about 1753. He was tried for theft of handkerchiefs etc from bleaching ground of John (Smith) of Cheetham Lancashire at Lancaster Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 26 6 1790 after a voyage of 8months on Fleet ship NEPTUNE; a voyage noted for extreme brutality of prisoners with a high death rate. He died on 26 5 1796 age about43 speared by natives & was buried, as (Radford), at St Phillips CofE Sydney-Old Sydney Burial Ground. George (Fieldis/Fieldhouse) enlisted in NSW Corps in UK as a private on 1 7 1789. He arrived in NSW on on 26 9 1791 after a voyage of 6months on QUEEN by which time he had become Corporal. In 1793 he was downgraded to private. He had a second relationship with Elizabeth (Taylor) about 1805 & produced a child. He produced 1known child in his lifetime.
