1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

Place of origin: Wickham, Hampshire Offence; Arson - Setting fire to a barn, property of his master. He states "He never did it, never had any ? or cause for it, against his master Complexion; Fresh & freckled, blue eyes NO; 2237 Height; 5 ft 6 1/2 inches aged 25 years old Trade; Ploughman, General Farmer 1845 - 28 December 1845. Recommended for a Conditional Pardon - Approved; 31 October 1846.
