Patrick Barrett, for stealing at Dangion, a cow and a heifer, the property of Bridget Cashman. Guilty. Cork Constitution, 3 April 1828.




The Convict Indentures state that Patrick Barrett was 47 years old. He could read and write; religion Catholic; status married and 3 children and a native of County Cork. He was a ploughman and reaps. He was convicted of cow stealing in Cork on 2 April 1828 and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 6 inches; complexion dark ruddy; hair black to grey and eyes hazel. Transport number 100. Assigned to Mr Harry Bodgery, South On.... Received ticket of leave in 1833 (number 33/760).
