COMMITTAL & JAIL: 1849, 29 September: James Barry, 25, was committed by RWG Adams to stand trial for stealing brogues, a purse and money. He was admitted on the same day to Cork Gaol to await his trial. In Cork jail he was listed as inmate #6484, 25 years old (Ireland, Prison Registers, 1790-1924 for James Barry; Cork; Cork; 1846-1849; image 485). --0--
