George and Ellen had at least 3 children. Mary Anne born 1848 (Vic BDM Birth 42232/1848); George (1851-1854) (Vic BDM Death 187/1854) and John (1852-1853) (Vic BDM Death 1582/1853).

George had been granted a ticket of leave and married Ellen Clarey / Cleary, a free settler who arrived on the ship William Metcalfe, in August 1845 in Port Philip, (now Victoria). George is buried in Beechworth Cemetery, Beechworth, Indigo Shire, Victoria - Plot ST A 106. He died age 72 of old age in the Asylum.
