Cable/Caleb Bartlett was transported on the Henry Porcher, departing 1st Aug 1836 and arriving 15th Nov 1836 with 261 passengers.
1825 Journey. On Saturday morning (3 Dec) arrived from London and Dublin, the ship Henry Porcher, Captain John Thompson, with 175 male prisoners, having lost one man - the rest in good health. She sailed from London the 10th of July, and Dublin the 5th of August. The guard comprises a detachment of the 47th Regiment, under the orders of Captain Donaldson. The Surgeon Superintendent is Dr. CARTER, R. N. Sydney Gazette, 5 Dec 1825.

Hulk Records. HO-9-9_6 page 53. (York, Laurel and Hardy Hulks) Ilchester, 4 May 1836. Cable Bartlett, age 24, stg a ewe sheep, tried at Wells, 28 March, Life, VDL, 27 July 36.
The following sixteen convicts were removed Thursday last to the Leviathan Hulk, Portsmouth, and ? Hulk, Gosport, prior to their transportation to New South Wales, viz. … Also the following sixteen to the same Hulks, on Tuesday, the 3rd instant, Robert Way, John Venn, Collings, John Charles alias Winter, John Calway, Edward Nurden, John Haynes, Cable Bartlett, Philip Billets, James Humphries, James Podger, James Clement, Wm Cook, John Wyatt. Taunton Courier, 11 May 1836.
His name was Caleb Bartlett. He was the son of Caleb Bartlett who was 71 years old when they were convicted of steeling sheep. Caleb the father, was also a butcher and was a respected and quite wealthy person, he was found not guilty of this charge but convicted on another 4 charges of steeling sheep and was to be transported for 10 years. No records of him as a convict. Also charged with a man called Longman, and have not found him as a convict either. Caleb the son was 23 years old. He had light brown hair, hazel eyes, was 5'7 1/2" tall, red whiskers and single. 26/5/1846: Recommended for a CP 5/10/1847: CP approved. 1847: married Ann Frapnell in Hobart. Ann was born in 1810 (no other records of her found). 10/2/1878: Caleb died. He hung himself from a tree at Hamilton. Caleb was working as a shepherd and was quite drunk on the morning of his death. He had killed his horse and was trying to burn him and the saddle and bridle, then he hung himself. At the inquest there was no mention of a wife or children and I found no records of either.
