Family connections for Richard (Barton) are: BARTON Richard (Barton) was tried at Kent Quarter Sessions, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 14 2 1792 after a voyage of 8months on PITT; much fever & attempts to escape from the ship resulted in deaths of convicts-of the 450convicts on board only 29 were alive at muster in May 1792 (or perhaps only this many could be mustered). He was Free by Servitude by 1810. He married Sarah (Hosborne) emancipist on 16 4 1812 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. [Some details taken from this Website] Sarah (Hosborne) was born in 1788 & baptised on 30 9 1788 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. Details of Sarah (Hosborne)s family are given in entry for Mark (Turner SCARBOROUGH 1790) on this Website. Richard (Barton) & Sarah (Hosborne/Laycock) produced 1child: 1.George (Barton) was born on 20 10 1810 & baptised on 11 11 1810 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. He died on 16 4 1812 age18m & was buried at St Phillips CofE Sydney.
