Abraham Batty was 22 years old when transported for Stealing a Gelding, the property of Joseph Adams. Abraham was born in Spalding, Lincolnshire and his parents were Reuben and Elizabeth. 1837: Assigned to G Townshend, Paterson. 1842: TOL Paterson 8/7/1842: TOL cancelled for being out of his district without a pass. 1843: TOL Moreton Bay 1845: Married Ann McLaughlin (Born 1823/4 in County Clare and died 24/7/1904 aged 80 at Carisbrook, Victoria. They had 1 daughter. 9/1/1846: TOL Passport Goulburn Bench. 28/3/1848: TOL Passport Goulburn Bench. 15/2/1849: CP 17/10/1885: Abraham died at Bendigo and is buried at the Bendigo Public Cemetery, Victoria.
