Precognition document notes: Jean Baxter, daughter of Daniel Baxter, collier, Kilbirnie, Ayrshire, Age: 22, Address: Kilbirnie, Ayrshire National Archives of Scotland: AD14/49/26 and JC26/1849/177 Jean Baxter was daughter of Daniel Baxter and Agness Montgomrie. I believe that Agness was daughter of John Montgomrie and Jean King. Agness appears to have 2 brothers that were also charged for forgery and uttering false notes. They were both transported to Australia when their niece Jean Baxter was very young.
