Elizabeth and Jonathan Beale left George Town, Tasmania, on 21 September 1846 in the ship “Shamrock” and arrived in Melbourne, Victoria. There they stayed and did not go on to Sydney nor did they have a daughter Elizabeth [both incorrectly referred to above] but while living in Melbourne they had 2 sons James Henry and Charles Albert. The family then departed for the Goldfields and lived in Bendigo.
