Commuted to the Castle, since our last, James Beard, late Norland, in the West Riding, charged with having, on the night the 26th of Jan. last, feloniously entered a certain warehouse, situate at Marsden, the parish Huddersfield, and stolen therefrom a quantity woollen cloth the property of David Armitage, and his partners.  Yorkshire Gazette, 24 April 1824. Charles Beard (32). James Beard (21). Jonathan Maude, and Edward Kershaw, for robbing the warehouse of Messrs. Annitage, of Marsden. York Herald, 31 July 1824.
