Yorkshire Summer Assizes. His Lordship then passed sentence of death upon the following fifteen prisoners capitally convicted, George Long. George Groves, Isaac Farrar. Joseph Farrer. John Farrer, John Mitchell, and William Hague for burglary, James Galloway, David Holt, John Brook, Thomas Beason. and Thomas Pearson for grand larceny, without the benefit of the statute, in stealing to the value of 40s. in a dwelling-house, Thomas Bradley and William Jackson for mare stealing, and William Smith for sheep stealing. York Herald, 25 July 1818.
