Received a conditional pardon in May 1843. Married fellow convict Catherine Guinn / Salmon. In 1848 they were living in Melboune on the corner of Elizabeth St and Little Bourke St. Their daughter Agnes was born there. John died at Boggy Creek near Kyneton in Victoria.
