Richard was on a list of convicts employed by William H. Hovell at Upper Minto. His service with Mr Hovell was nearing completion on 12 Feb 1823. 1825: TOL (looks like 1825) 12/11/1830: COF 15/11/1828: Married Mary McNeil alias Wane/Vane, aged 15 and born in the Colony. They had 13 children. “This girl is the natural daughter of one Wane a well sinker who died (May 1827) some time since & left this poor girl destitute. Mr & Mrs Neville took her home & have treated her with much kindness. They have endeavoured for some time to prevent her being married so young but so many are the temptations for a young girl & so many snares laid for her, that upon consulting with me they have judged it best to permit her to be married particularly as the lad is very sober & industrious.” 1828 Census shows the Beauchamp family Maurice, Richard, Mary & William Vane together in Kelso near Bathurst. Richard & Mary at "Cheshire" farm. Maurice a tenant at "Neville's" farm. Maurice Beauchamp arrived per ‘Ann 1810’ – perhaps his father? 1876: Richard died aged 79 at Orange and was buried at Shepherds Creek Cemetery. Mary died in 1906 at Trangie, NSW.
