Baptism 27 Jan 1805 - St Mary's, Fen Drayton, Cambridgeshire. Father: William Bedford Mother: Sarah Hall Married Sarah Hart 30 Oct 1826 in Hemingford Abbots, Huntingdonshire. Had 8 children, all males. 1841 Resident of Church Street, Fen Drayton, Cambridgeshire. Admitted into the prison for stealing £236 of property with Charles Ivatt, from Charles Bollard's dwelling in Fen Drayton whilst being armed. Constable's remarks - "Bad character - very artful, sly man. Orderly in conduct". A similar report notes that he appeared to live via thieving for the last 12 years (ie 1833-1845) Physical condition: 5ft 5" sallow complexion, round head, dark brown and grey hair, brown whiskers, full visage, high forehead, dark brown eyebrows, hazel eyes, small nose, mouth and chin.
