John Bell was transported along with his son, James (also onboard) for 'Stealing Oats'. John Bell was listed as 45 years old on arrival. Native Place: Antrim County, Ire. John was 5'6" tall, fresh complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, long scar centre of forehead, 2 scars on right arm below elbow, scar on left cheek. 18/7/1849: TOL 22/1/1850: TOL revoked. 27/1/1849: Free passage for wife and children allowed. Wife, Margaret, with children Robert, Thomas, William and Sarah arrived VDL per 'Anne Thompson' on 22/4/1851. Son John arrived with his wife and children per 'Great Tasmania' in 1857.
