1831, 16 July: Thomas Bell, 18, was received aboard the hulk Justitia, moored at Woolwich, following his conviction and sentence of transportation at Chester (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).

TRIED: He was tried on 27 June 1831 at Chester for stealing oats. He had no previous convictions and was single. Thomas died on board, during the voyage, on 28 April 1832. No cause of death was given (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-5$init=CON31-1-5p3).
