The City Calendar contains the following: … Elizabeth Bellingham, aged 39, and Ellen Lewis, aged 17, charged with stealing 23£. from R. Hack, The former prisoner Is also charged with with receiving penknife, knowing it to have been stolen from the office of Mr. G. Hill. Worcester Journal, 3 Mar 1825. Removal of Convicts. —Thursday afternoon, Elizabeth Bellingham and Mary Jones were removed from our City Gaol to London, preparatory to their being sent off for transportation, the former for fourteen years, pursuant to her sentence at the last Assizes for counselling and assisting in the burglary in the office of Geo. Hill, Esq. the Clerk of the Peace; and Mary Jones, for seven years, sentenced at the last City Sessions, for shop-lifting in the shop Messrs. Martin, linen-drapers, at the Cross. . Worcester Journal, 30 June 1825.
