The convict indentures state the Roger was aged 23 years old; Could neither read or write; Religion Roman Catholic; Status single; a native of County Mayo and was a farm labourer. He was convicted for stealing money for life in Mayo on 23 July 1833. He had no prior known convictions. Physical attributes are Height 5 feet 7 1/2 inches; complexion sallow, freckled and pock pitted; hair dark brown and Chestnut eyes. Prisoner number 34-2380. Transport number is 149.
