Henry Tapus (known as Harry) Bennett was born in 1814 in Arundel West Sussex. After transportation to NSW Henry was assigned to George Hawke, at Bathurst. Once Henry had served his time he bought land at Molong, where he established a nursery, an orchard and kept bees.
