July 1855, Halloran reports a William Bennett from the Bangalore. the previous Commissioner had passed a small sum of money to Bennett. the principal superintendent of convicts is seeking a receipt and Halloran is to obtain this receipt from Bennett. Bennett must have been in the Wide Bay area and not the Burnett District.
